Grey Knights Week - Part 1: The Beginnenning

My little psuedo-vacation gave me a chance to sit with the Grey Knights codex and I think that I can safely say that I'm one of the proud few who did most of his pondering at airports or at cruising altitude.

When the book first dropped, I was not in what I'd call a mood to be fair and objective.  I  was and am currently making my way through a big ol' box of daemons and there were quite a few things about the book that a daemon player couldn't help but notice.  Specifically, the fact that every unit in the book seems to have been given a number of value added features for no cost specifically aimed at raping all daemons in all their holes all the time.
The inanity of the accompanying WD bat rep wasn't helping either.

Style. Profile.

Lo from ye olde World of Wonder nominated me for a Stylish Blogger Award!

If you're one of the few people in my tiny corner of the internet who haven't already  checked her shit out, then you should do so.  And may I add further congratulations for finding a rock big enough to live under.

Anyway, Lo, I accept.  I will also steal your post title joke.  Think of it as my way of saying thanks.  In addition to me actually typing out the letters in the word 'thanks' a couple of times.

Unfortunately, the award comes with levels of responsibility unheard of outside of the Miss America Pageant.
  • Thank and link back to the person giving you the award
  • Share seven things about yourself
  • Select 10-15 blogs who you think deserve this award
  • Contact these bloggers and let them know about the award

Ricochet Biscuit

It's supposed to bounce off the wall and back into your mouth.

Kirby has invited me to write for ye olde 3++.  He wants me to do something with painting.  But here's the deal:  I have no idea what direction to go in.

I have some thoughts - something along the lines of trying to take the anxiety and/or mystery out of painting with the idea to get shoe gray legions taken care of.

I feel like there are a lot of hurdles for people to get started:
  • The impossibly high standards for the big painting contests
  • the perception that artistic talent is required
  • the perception of there being a 'right' way to do things
  • the time involved
  • the added expense
Maybe I can help lower those hurdles.

I guess I'm really asking you guys is this (due to the high reader crossover):  what would you like to see in a hobby series as written by me?

[hail marry:]  Incidentally, if anyone has a spare terminator cyclone or two laying around (he said, knowing that they're in high demand) , I'd be more than happy to give them, a new home.
