Shameless Commerce - MORE Ebay Auctions

The last 5 days have been good for the ol' ebay sales I mentioned 5 days ago and I'm down to just one box of Seekers of Slaanesh.

So it's time to clear out more gaming clutter!

And things are about to get very metal!

This time around its all the rest of my unpainted, un-assembled metal daemons stuff.

So if you need a whole mess of Flesh Hounds or Fiends of Slaanesh (and who doesn't, really), go check it out!  Plus you could always get some plastic Seekers if you're more of a light rock kind of person.

Shameless Commerce - Some Ebay Auctions

I started a Daemon army for 40k about two years ago, painted about a third of it and then stopped cold.  In the intervening years (a phrase I am decidedly not happy about being able to use), I started ANOTHER 40k army, finished my Eldar, started playing Malifaux and the Grey Knights book came out.  I'd be lying if I said the GK book thing didn't sting.  In short, I have a lot of balls in the air.

Now there's a new complication.  6th edition.  At this point, I'm either grimly waiting for impending doom or cautiously awaiting the coming rapture of the new edition and it is absolutely sucking the air out of my hobby.  Or, at least I'm allowing it to.  Which is silly.  Especially given the other options I have.  More on all this at a later date.

With that in mind, it's time to focus up, explore new avenues and get rid of the chaff.

I've taken a lesson from Von and decided that while I have the storage space (or at least a girlfriend who won't correct the misconception) to hang onto unused models and maybe even most of the money to move on with other projects at the same time, there's no real reason to hang on to what has ended up as expensive clutter.

So, if you have need of some completely unused High Elf Chariots or perhaps some assorted NIB plastic Daemons, I humbly beseech you to check out my ebay auctions:

Flesh Tearers - Recipe Notes Supplemental

Segmentum Obscurus Studios asked about a bunch of the recipes I used back in part 2 of the Flesh Tearers notes. Since I said I would provide them if anyone asked, here we are.

I'm not gonna have any step by step pics, but I will show what the final product looks like on my models as well as the GW models they had used for the Masterclass Article I got the recipe from.

Just a heads up, though.  All of these are done with the old GW paints, so if you need to convert to the new stuff that's on you.

Power Swords.
This is actually a pretty easy effect to pull off - simple steps and a minimum of color mixing.  I love stuff like this.
Original:  Space Hulk duder (not the exact same example I worked from)

The Flesh Tearers - Recipe Notes (Part 3)

Part three takes us into completion of the terminators.  With the way I've been painting these guys it also looks like a self contained versions of part 1 and 2.

Step 13:  Prep work for the black parts.
All the remaining little bits at this point are assembled, trimmed and generally made ready to receive paint.

In the case of the power armor dorks, it'll be shoulder pads, heads and backpacks and the odd special/heavy weapon.

That plastic lump is some Instant Mold

Step 14:  Green stuff logos
Since it turned out that the GW metal pads are a noticeable smaller size than the standard plastic ones AND because these guys are supposed to be the elite Wolf Guard, I decided to add some press molded symbols.

It's usually slow, difficult and frustrating going and I can't yet tell if Instant Mold sucks or I do.
